Victoria Ann “Vikki” Kirk, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:08 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born February 6, 1957, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Faris and Norma Steffen. She married Kenneth Kirk on December 28, 2001 in Vernon, Indiana; he survives.
Vikki was a graduate of Forrest Park High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She worked at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center and at several group homes in Jennings County, retiring in 2018. Vikki’s hobbies included crocheting, solving crypto puzzles and fishing. She loved spending a lazy afternoon floating down the river.
Surviving with her husband, Kenny, are her son, Joe Smith of North Vernon; daughters, Kacey (Andy Fitzgerald) Farrel of Madison, Brigette Tookes of Indianapolis, Liz (Donald) Crater of Crothersville, and Esther (Drew Parmer) Kirk of Columbus; Brothers, Dean Taylor of Ohio, Robbie Faris of Ohio, and Craig Steffen of Florida; sister Lynn Sparks of Ohio; grandchildren, Joseph (Alexis) Smith of North Vernon, Joshua Gotts of Rexville, Kyle Gotts of Versailles, Jon Henry Gotts of Madison, Tory Hemmingway of Madison, Logan and Kayman Howard of Indianapolis, Kingston Tookes of Indianapolis, Dirk Crater of Crothersville, and Abbott Parmer of Columbus; great grandchild, Jackson Smith of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and grandson, Draven Parmer.
A Funeral service for Vikki will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visitation for friends and family will be held Friday, May 15, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials for Vikki may be made through the funeral home to funeral expenses.
