Thurman Hobbs “Pat” Brown II, 79, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his residence in North Vernon.
Born December 27, 1946, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Pat was the son of the late Thurman Hobbs Brown and Juanita (Stout) Brown. He married Debra Lee on March 27, 1987, in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Pat was a 1963 graduate of Plainville High School. He graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree and from Ball State University with an MBA. He was a U.S. veteran, having served in the United States Army. Pat retired from Bright Now Dental, where he was Regional Manager and Senior Vice President. He was a 20-year partner in Dental Centers of Indiana. His hobbies included gardening and fishing, playing bridge, walking, hiking, and reading.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; sons Aaron (Lisa) Brown of Sandusky, Ohio, Jacob Miller of North Vernon, and Matthew Brown of North Vernon; daughters, Stephanie (George) Moore of Scipio, and Hillary (Nick) Brown-Gall of Los Angeles, California; sisters, Anna (Dan) Woodruff of Odon, and Tina Crane of Madison; grandchildren, Derek (Jules) York of Georgetown, Kentucky, Sydney York of North Vernon, Ethan (Kelsei Roll) York of North Vernon, Kayla Brown of Sandusky, Ohio, Adalee Brown of Jeffersonville, Max Brown and Olivia Brown both of North Vernon, and Emerson Gall of Los Angeles, California; great-grandchildren, Emma York of North Vernon and Elloise York of Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marshall Brown, Robert Brown, and Mark Timothy Brown; and sister, Elaine Miles.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made in honor of Pat through the funeral home for The Salvation Army.
