Sharon Elizabeth (Dean) Leslie

Sharon Elizabeth Leslie, 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at her home.

Born July 23, 1952, in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Chester Leroy and Frances Elizabeth (Skinner) Dean.

Sharon was a homemaker and housewife who enjoyed taking care of her home and shopping at all the Goodwill’s.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Joshua) Roberts of Hartsville and Kristy Leslie of North Vernon; brother, Virgil (Peggy) Gibson of Virginia; sisters, Beverly (Edward) Gilpin and Star Lacey, both of North Vernon, and Vickie Nicholson of Seymour; grandchildren, Kelsea Elizabeth Lookedoo of White House, Tennessee, Austin (Bryanna) Stroll of Dale City, Florida, Madison Elizabeth (Cory) Hardin of Hartsville, Eliza Star (Anthony) Truppi of Tampa, Florida, Ariana Nicole Castillo of Jeffersonville, Miley Frances Clubb of North Vernon, and Kylel (Brittany) Stidham and Katie (Nick) Sowder, both of Seymour; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracie Leslie-Smith; and brother Billy Lee Dean.

A celebration of life service for Sharon will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials in memory of Sharon may be through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
