Rebecca "Ellen" Robinson

Rebecca “Ellen” Robinson, 51, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:33 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born June 3, 1975, in Meridian, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Fred and Bonnie (Long) Robinson. Ellen was a 1993 graduate of Jennings County High School.

Ellen worked for the M.U.T.C. (Muscatatuck Urban Training Center) in Butlerville, Lowes and several service industries in Seymour. She loved being outdoors, sitting around bonfires, cooking  over a fire, helping on the farm, and spending time with family and friends. She never knew a stranger and would do anything for anyone. Her kindness and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Above all, she loved her daughter and grandson dearly. They were her greatest joy, and the love she shared with them will live on forever. She loved her dogs Lukas and Lucy.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten by all her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughter, Alex (Mel Marksberry) Robinson of North Vernon; grandson, Brantlee Marksberry of North Vernon; long time boyfriend of 17 years, Alex “Buzz” Johnson of North Vernon; brother, Joseph “Brent” (Regenia) Robinson of Linton; mother-in-law, Pat Johnson of North Vernon; sister-in-law, Ami (Bill) Fields of North Vernon; nieces, Helen Fields and Chole Fields, both of North Vernon; nephews, Austin (Anna) Robertson and Devyn Robertson, both of North Vernon;  and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the North Vernon Moose Lodge in North Vernon.
