Margaret L. (Renner) Corey

Margaret L. (Renner/Hoyt) Corey, age 85 of Rotonda West, FL went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2026 after a brief illness.

She was born November 12, 1940 in Jenning County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Sylvia and Mae (Combest) Renner. She married Stephen M. Corey on July 20, 1985, Columbus, Indiana.

Margaret worked for 10 years as food servicer at Muscatatuck State Development Center and 10 years as infant care giver for Peter Rabbit Day Care, Carmel, IN. She enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends, houseboating on Lake Cumberland, ship cruises and ballroom dancing.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister Manie Cross and her daughter Sherry (Hoyt) Radford.

Survivors include her Husband Stephen; Curt & Jannie Hoyt of North Vernon, IN, Michael & Kate Corey, Coventry, RI, Richard & Nicole Kyle, Angola, IN;  seven grandchildren – Shawn & Chelsea (Hoyt) Smith of Butlerville, IN, Chad Hoyt of North Vernon, Chase & Amanda Hoyt of North Vernon, IN, Travis & Angela (Radford) Kenner, Louisville, KY, Nicholas Radford, San Franisco, CA, Alyssa Kyle of Fort Wayne, IN, Thomas Carrell of Rochester, IN; 5 great grandchildren – Maelee and Elynn of Butlerville, IN, Zander and Emerleigh of North Vernon, IN, MacKenzie Smith of North Vernon, IN; and several Extended Family Members.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, IN.  Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, IN.
