Kathryn Ann Proctor, 82, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Covered Bridge Health Care in Seymour.
Born December 6, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (O’Heron) Karr. She married Richard Proctor on December 5, 1992, at the First Christian Church in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on October 6, 2005.
Kathryn was the Treasurer and organist for Lords Chapel Baptist Church. She worked in Middletown, Indiana as a nurse, and for Rescue 20 in North Vernon. Kathryn was a volunteer for hospice and enjoyed music and going bowling.
Survivors include her sons, Chris Walters of Florida, Larry Joe Walters Jr. of Anderson, and Dean Edward (Ann) Walters of Seymour; brother, William James (Jan) Karr of Rockford, Illinois; and grandchildren, Larry Joe Walters IV, William James Walters, and Aaron Michael Walters all of North Vernon, Alexander Lee Walters of Georgia, Courtney Marie Walters of Crothersville, and Christopher Dean (Paige) Walters of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Frank Eller; second husband, Richard Proctor; and son, Brent Alexander Walters.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Kome and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Kathryn through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
