Gary D. Riley, 70, of Muncie, passed away at 1:55 a.m. at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Born December 8, 1955, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late William and Naomi (Peacock) Riley.
Gary was the owner and operator of Hometown Ice Cream a traveling bicycle Ice Cream Stand at Ball State University in Muncie and also worked in the winter for Stewart Brothers working on Oil Rigs in Texas. He enjoyed collecting antiques and billiards memorabilia.
Survivors include his longtime friend, Jeff Jones of North Vernon; brother, Randy (Ruohua) Riley; sisters, Jeri Ray, Janice Boring, Sherry Shrader and Rhonda (Jack) Brock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rodney Riley and Charles “Rusty” Riley.
In keeping with his wish, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
