Elizabeth Irene "Liz" (Jeffries) Bost

Elizabeth Irene “Liz” Bost, 93, of Scipio, passed away at 10:19 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born Jume 28, 1933, in Barren County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Donnie (Smith) Jeffries. She married Charles Kenneth Bost on June 19, 1954, Bradley, Illinois; he preceded her in death on October 5, 2002.

Liz was a 1953 graduate in Hiseville, Kentucky. Liz and Kenny owned and operated Romano’s Pizza in Scipio for 20 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the former Scipio Presbyterian Church in Scipio.

Survivors include her son, Kim Bost and his wife Theresa of Scipio; granddaughter, Mariah Bost of Scipio; great-grandchildren, Zayden Huff and Lylah Huff, both of Scipio; sister, Jean Bennett and husband Bill; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Jeffries of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, George, Bill, and William Jeffries.

A funeral service for Liz will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Kendall Wildey officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Scipio Cemetery in Scipio.

Memorials may be made in honor of Liz through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
