Edward Harold Mullis, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Majestic Care in North Vernon.
Born June 27, 1956, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Gary and Martha Evelyn (Roberts) Mullis. He married Michelle “Mickey” Harden in 2025 at Donner Park in Columbus.
Edward attended Jennings County High School and was a member of Vernon Baptist Church. He worked at the local Jay C store for thirty-two years, retiring in 2021. He enjoyed vacations, going out to eat, and visiting the park. Edward loved game shows, especially The Price Is Right, and was once a contestant on Let’s Make a Deal.
Edward is survived by his wife, Micki of Columbus; brothers, Lawrence and Bobby Mullis both of North Vernon; several nieces and nephews; his Developmental Service Family, Susan, Albert and Destiny Keebler of North Vernon; and his case manager, Maria Aguayo-Lovins of Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, Robert Day; and brother, Wayne Mullis.
A funeral service for Edward will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Don Morris officiating. The visitation for Family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
