Donna Jean (Herche) Ross

Donna Jean Ross, 60, of Butlerville, passed away at 4:49 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.

Born October 22, 1965, in Columbus she was the daughter of the late William and Joan (Schnadinger) Herche.

Donna was a 1984 graduate of Jennings County High School and attended Ivy Tech where she received an LPN Degree. She worked as an LPN for Seymour Crossing and for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville. She was a St. Mary’s Alumni. Donna enjoyed watching movies, swimming, and dogs. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Draden Box of North Vernon; her daughter, Kache (Glen Byar) Ross of Butlerville; brother, Mark Herche of North Vernon; sisters, Cindy (Bob Bland) Smith of North Vernon and Paula (Steve) Reed of Westport; and grandchildren, Bentley Byar and Madison Byar, both of Butlerville, and Raelyn Box and Raegan Box, both of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Donna through the funeral home for help with funeral expenses.
