April Dawn (Meyer) Taylor

April Dawn Taylor, 61, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born May 25, 1964, in Rushville, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Judy Ann (Moore) Meyer. She was a 1982 graduate of Greensburg High School and a 1984 graduate of Indiana Bible College.

April was a teacher for several years at the First Apostolic Church and worked for DSI for several years. She attended the North Vernon Wesleyan Church and formerly attend the First Apostolic Church in North Vernon. April enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Steven Taylor of North Vernon; Christopher Taylor of Jeffersonville, and Johnathan (Ceirra Baker) Taylor of North Vernon; brother, John “Kenny” Meyer of Madison; sisters, Ruth Meyer and Shirley Meyer, both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Adrianna Taylor and Blakeleigh Taylor, both of North Vernon; nephew, Ronnie Wineinger of North Vernon and niece, Tonya Meza of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with her family’s wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of April through the funeral home for help with funeral expenses.
